“There is nothing I can do!”
There are times when we feel absolutely helpless and useless. Our hands are tied. Our resources are gone. We are too far away. We wish we could do something.
We can do something! We can ask.
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7
If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. John 15:7
Asking sets in motion things we cannot see. Asking quiets our despair. Asking closes the distance. Asking raises our hopes. Asking lifts our eyes, our hands and allows us to see resources we could not see.
Asking is a statement of faith. Asking says that Someone is there and is listening. Asking allows the One who is listening to reveal Himself and His will. He wants us to ask because it is good for us.
Asking sets everything that can be done in motion. Asking gives us something to do when there is nothing we can do. Asking is doing.
Never stop asking because asking is believing. Asking saves us. Asking moves mountains even if we are not able to see them move just yet.
